Video: Dual

This tutorial began life as a black and white pencil drawing on many sheets which allowed movement when flipped.  The drawing which I created I then scanned onto my laptop, with the aid of Photoshop and its sequential actions.  When I finished scanning all, I watched it, as a sample of what I could create using these methods. The process began, as previously stated, as a black and white process but colour was added before the end.

Three tutorials were available in relation to Flash and the movements of characters.  All of these contained very useful information on creating your own work. When you see these, the beauty of the smooth movement involved is very impressive and something that I would really like to use again.

Video Tutorial: Flash

The Video tutorial of Flash taught me about the movement of characters.  I watched the video and seen how Flash worked and with the combination of two laptops I was able to watch and perform the same movements.  I had realised that this was the best way for me to store the information needed, i.e. actually performing the functions rather than just watching them.

Video Tutorial: Flash and After Effects

As part of my research it was necessary for me to look at how I could get Flash and After Effects to work together.  I found the necessary information on You Tube.  Flash is about character movement and this is then copied and put on to After Effects.  This then allows a movement speed to be ascertained.   It is then possible to add a background and any additional visual information needed. It was great to find this help and it proved to be most beneficial.  Once watched in action the clearness of the animation comes to the fore-front.

Art: Robots

In researching the art involved in animation it was necessary for me to find an image that I could use and develop to create the animation.  This picture I found most interesting and I felt appropriate for my use. I am now going to try and use this however it could prove difficult as this is not my own original sketch and may be difficult to match with Photoshop.

Art: Fishes

As part of my research it was necessary for me to look at images of fish and some of these images can be found above.  The image of the Goldfish I find most appealing and recognise that it will work well with Photoshop. In particular the colour of the skin, eyes etc are all features of the Photoshop Programme.
